And just because Ganguly had said that it was between Agarkar and Nehra, I have provided
Nehra's "Record???!!!" in blue.
And to prove my point that the toss up must have been between Nehra & Zaheer, I've
provided Zaheer's stats too in green.

Thus, it is VERY obvious that Agarkar
has been our BEST BOWLER in the latest season, i.e. 2003-2004 in every single parameter!
What more do the selectors & Ganguly want from him??? Hmmm.. Why does Ganguly favour
Nehra? (Favouritism towards Zaheer is understandable because at least he has potential.
But Nehra is 1 Lucky bugger, to say the least- All my other words about Nehra would be
censored!!!) |

And the fitness record of Agarkar, Zaheer & Nehra is only too obvious! Whereas,
Zaheer & Nehra (does he have something called fitness??!) are always laying low due to
injuries Agarkar has been fighting fit, all along. The last time that Agarkar missed a
series due to fitness issue was way back in 1999-2000. After that it was only this recent
tour of Pak, which would have been easy pickings for him.. All this because he was over
burdened in Australia with far too many overs than any other bowler.. Afterall, he was the
best bowler on that tour as always!
For all of Agarkar's hard work & Impressive showing, the
selectors & the team management (read as Ganguly!) "REWARD" him with this-
an unceremonious ouster!!

The thing to note is that Kaif has always played higher than Agarkar (he is a
"BATSMAN" afterall!).. Hence there is bound to be a greater difference in their
records. But an interesting tidbit for you all, in the 2003-2004 season, batting
at number 7 position Agarkar has a batting average of 28 while Kaif has a batting average
of 29.5! And at number 6 position, Kaif has an average of 28! And a discussion on their
batting strike rates doesnt even merit any discussion! And a number 7 batsman has to have
the big hitting capabilities which Kaif woefully lacks & of which Agarkar is a master!
